Hello Once Again, I must apologize for it must seem that I forgot all about my blog. To be honest, I did and then I didn't. I had some wonderful things that I wanted to share, but time got away from me due to the mild winter here in VA, and the growing season coming so early. I started a new herb garden this year, and have added a very small tea garden, I'm so looking forward to seeing how that works out. The pumpkin patch is growing by leaps and bounds, and I promise to share some photos very soon.

I've been working hard at creating some Hand Stamped Card kits, and I have been posting the information and photos on The Romantic Farm FaceBook page. Last weekend we stopped in at one of my Favorite stores, Hobby Lobby and was shocked to see all of the fall items on the shelves, as you can see in the photos I posted above. Of course Fall is my Very Favorite time of the year, and all I've been thinking about this week, has been fall craft projects. I will be posting a Fall preview in July here as well as on the FaceBook page, and I have not forgotten about the chair projects, I'll be posting photos soon!I hope you enjoy the warm summer nights and watching fireflies dance in the moonlight!

Welcome Once Again to The Romantic Farm, Today is The Grand Opening Of the Etsy Shop!

I will be posting items for sale throughout the week, so check in often, if you have any trouble just click on the link below....

I was hoping to have a post for Saint Patrick's Day, however with the early spring weather I must confess that I have spent much of my free time out on the farm. Things are really blooming here very quickly and I have already had to cut the grass around the Farm House.

Don't forget to visit the Etsy Shop, and coming soon I'll post an Easy Easter Project , that will be fun for the whole family!

Enjoy The Sunshine, XOXO ~  Adrienne

Happy Saint Valentines Day! xoxo~The Romantic Farm

For Love is Heaven and Heaven is Love~Sir Walter Scott

So many of us today, myself included tend to get caught up and overwhelmed by the expectations that we put on ourselves to create "The Perfect"family celebration, no matter what the holiday maybe. Saint  Valentines Day is no exception, we have an unrealistic view that if we do not receive an expensive card, flowers, candy or even diamonds that in some way we have failed, thus creating a sense of
unhappiness. We now have a society filled with people who HATE the special day for Love. I'm most certain that this breaks Cupids Heart.......................................................................................................

Today February 14, 2012 I ask each one of you no matter single or in a relationship to do something to show yourself that you, Love You! it does not have to be expensive, it doesn't have to cost a thing. I have only one rule it MUST be for you alone, you are NOT to share! So Take a walk or get out paper &  pen,  pour your heart out and see what makes your heart fill with joy. Trust me you'll be happier and that will make those around you happy as well.........................................................................................

For myself I enjoy a pot of Rose Tea and an afternoon curled up with a good mystery or perhaps reading one of my favorite magazines  or better yet flipping through a Vintage magazine and remembering days gone by.............................................................................................................

For my  family simple is best , or what I call small tokens of love! Silly Valentines, fresh baked Pink & Red cupcakes topped with sprinkles, candy kisses and homemade Valentines  with extra glitter!

No matter what you do today I hope you will have a heart filled with Love & Joy!

It's time for my afternoon tea and Yes, Invited Cupid!

LWelcome to The Romantic Farm's Blog, where I hope you will stop by often. First, a little bit about me and what you can expect in our upcoming posts.

I have been most fortunate to have spent a good part of my life with a family who saw value  in the ordinary. Growing up, my husband spent many weekends going to yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores as well as auctions up and down the east coast with his parents. They were pickers so to speak, long before picking became an occupation. They have passed on to me knowledge that I have utilized and expanded upon over the last 18 years. They have encouraged my ability to see beyond what's before me and have taught me the skills to create what is in my minds eye.  For this I am most Thankful and truly blessed.....
The Farm I call home is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, right here in Virginia. Although much of day is spent caring for our farm and the animals who call it home (our pet cow Milo). I do try to take some time each day to enjoy things that I love. In my blog posts, I hope to share with you various trash to treasure projects, wonderful vintage finds, many of my favorite places to spend a leisurely afternoon, as well as my favorite books and movies to enjoy on a rainy day.

I will be offering some items for sale on my brand new Etsy shop, feel free to click on the link to see what items are currently for sale.
